UFC fight pass.com violence Hey guys, welcome back to sex and violence with rebel girl presented by UFC fight pass the show that interviews top level MMA fighters and other experts in their fields about love, dating, romance, and that all too taboo subject sex. I'm your host, Ashley rebel girl Evans-Smith. Now let's talk about sex and violence what's happening hot stuff, what is up my naughty listeners, I'm happy to be back in the studio. Like I said last week, if you are a consistent listener, I was in Hawaii. And it's all hard to get back in the swing of things when you're just in full vacation mode. But I'm back to the grind. And I have unfortunately just sad news to start this podcast off with we lost our little buddy Jr. Which is zoals 10 year old boxer who would he was literally at the first sex and violence with the rebel girl podcast at our old studio. And you know I love animals more than I love people. So this got me and obviously Zol was you know, he is working through it and I just wanted to say that if you guys have your pets out there and you know don't take them for granted I'm giving them an extra little hug right now because you just never know when your last day with them is so send love at DJ soul he's the homie and he's here with us now so we're sorry to you last Jr's own we love you so much. And you know just wanted to give a little respect to Jr because he was amazing doggie and he was a big part of our podcast as well. cast member Yeah, he was he was a supporting cast member but pretty much but. So I will follow that sad, sad news up with some good news. Congrats to Ty Emery who holds Holy crap. I really thought. I'm like, okay, she's just so ready. She's gonna win this fight. And when she did she want her bare knuckle buck or bare knuckle FC. Bare Knuckle FC right? Yeah, bare knuckle FC boxing debut. And not only did she win, but she had the best celebration that I've probably ever seen. It was super controversial. You got people saying you It's amazing people saying that it's disrespectful, or, you know, trashy or whatever it is. She lifted her shirt after her fight in celebration, and I thought it was you know, very sex and violence. You know, Ty's whole thing has been titties and violence and so it was not shocking to see her boobies and I think that she is one smart cookie because whether you hater or whether you love her everyone was talking to talking about her. The morning I woke up last week, right week goes or something like that. Anyway, this girl went from like, I don't know what however many followers she had. I think she was under 50,000 followers significantly and she's over over 100,000 followers, you know, so yeah, you can be upset because she showed her boobies and maybe there was some kids in the crowd but the end of the day. What are you upset about that your kids saw a titties or that they watched a bare knuckle boxing fight or you know, like, everyone's so upset about showing tidies versus I'm bothered by, you know someone like Ronda Rousey like not shaking Misha Tate's hand like on sportsmanship like, Okay, I think more love for our bodies and appreciation and, you know, freedom with our own sexuality versus, you know, sportsmanship like these things are really what's important, but to each throw, that's just my two cents tie. Congrats. I think you're amazing. And let's just say I think we're all going to be paying extra close attention to Ty's fights in the future but a couple other things I want to tell you about.

Unknown Speaker 4:45
Okay, so another amazing Bare Knuckle brand new breaking news is that our two guests ago, I think she's to Glasgow Sharifa Segalla is now fighting for the 115 pound, bare knuckle strawweight championship fight versus Bretton heart this weekend. So by the time you're listening to this, I think it's like tomorrow, basically. So if you're listening to this right now, tomorrow, she fights four days notice a lower weight class. And I, we had just literally went and seen dama reira actually old as a comedian at the Hollywood improv, like, three or four nights before and she was like, Oh, my fight with Paige Van Sant got pushed back. And she was like, I just want to stay ready. And so I was like, okay, you know, she ain't good at dinner and everything. And then boom, this bitch stayed ready. And now she's fighting for the title. I'm very happy for her Sucker Punch athlete and just a sweetheart. I really rooting for her. Check that out guys Bare Knuckle boxing. I think they're in Montana, I believe. Unknown Speaker 13:23
Zab okay Kenny, thank you so much for being on the show. Super excited to have you on. How are you today? Oh good. How are you? I'm good. I'm a little tired. I did a photo shoot yesterday as you know and driving in I didn't even Beverly Hills and I've never been to Beverly Hills surprise surprise. I live in Orange County but I'm not spending my time in Hollywood or Beverly Hills for the most part. It was just like it was beautiful. But I had to drive back in the traffic and I had a long night so I feel a little extra tired but I've been looking forward to this for a while. Let's jump right into it. You are supposed to be fighting tomorrow. So today is for us. The listeners are actually going to listen on Friday if they stay up to date. So when I say tomorrow I'm talking you know in the future but you're supposed to be fighting this weekend against Irene all Donna. Tell us how you feel obviously you're It's not a good thing. But what happened? And are you booked for a future fight? Oh,

Unknown Speaker 15:06
well, yeah. So I was booked to fight Oh, Donna and that will be that would have been my first main card fight and fighting somebody in the top five. And I that they after a psalm about agreement are and send it in, you know, I totally so and wrestling

Unknown Speaker 15:28
Oh no. Now when you say torn ACL I know that's a knee injury I've had I think like LCL it's like ones on the outside ones on the inside. So was it like a partial tear full tear? Like would they say

Unknown Speaker 15:44
full tear full full tear with ACL? Lucky enough? I didn't tear anything else around it. Yeah. So that that made the recovery time? Less? Yes. But it still will take me a year from surgery day to fight

Unknown Speaker 16:02
day for sure. And, you know, my listeners know, I've been dealing with my own spine surgery rehab recovery journey back and just because they tell you, Oh, you're gonna heal in this timeframe doesn't necessarily mean that's the timeframe, right? You could heal sooner, you know, or maybe you heal. Yeah, you no longer like me, but I'm wishing you the best. But I want to get to know you a little bit about your background and how you got into fighting. You know, you just seem like a very interesting person to me. From Iran living in Sweden. I'm like, Wow, she's so multicultural and awesome. You

Unknown Speaker 16:39
know? Yes. Super

Unknown Speaker 16:41
International. Born in Iran, 98. Iran, 1991. December. I'm the youngest of four. Okay, so my oldest sister is 14 years older than me. And then I have two, two brothers as well. Came into martial arts. really random. I was like, because I started swimming when I was a kid. And at the age of 13, I found myself in a boxing gym. So that's where my career started was amateur boxing. And I did a lot of fights. I did like 25 Plus fights as from 13 to 18. And said hi. Like I was a little bit in the national team, the junior national team in Sweden. But when I turned 18, I did my two senior fights, and then I just like moved on. I found myself and like MMA gym, but only doing jujitsu for the first month or two. Not doing anything else because I came from a come competitive, like teenage life where I only did compete and boxing. And when I just transferred over to MMA, I wasn't really thinking about competing. I was thinking about having teenage life. So you

Unknown Speaker 18:08
were just burnout of competing. You're like, I want to do this because it's fun, but I don't really want to compete because it's stressful. Or you know, maybe you had to cut weight.

Unknown Speaker 18:18
I didn't cut weight when I was a kid. Like basically what we weighed in we fought Yeah, that's good. Smart. So yeah, so when I was from 13 to 18, I fought the 140 class, and I was weighing 130 You know, so yeah, we never cut weight. But when you know, doing MMA for like one to two years, I started getting bigger. And you know, the weight cutting started there. But I found myself competing and submission wrestling a month after I started, and I was not in there to compete. I just found myself there competing. And that's when it started for me. The love MMA started because I wasn't good at competing in boxing because I was too young. I just didn't have it in me. So I never did like super good. But when I came to MMA, it just like switched. Yeah, that's awesome. I found something I was good at.

Unknown Speaker 19:09
Better. Yeah. And I was doing my research on you. And it's all superficial. So even though I read it, I'm like, I want to dig deeper. I saw that you were the shoot fighting champion when you were like 19 years old. Now what is shot biting?

Unknown Speaker 19:25
That's amateur. Okay.

Unknown Speaker 19:27
Okay. Mmm.

Unknown Speaker 19:29
It's like a jet. Yeah, it's like a Japanese version of like MMA, but you're not allowed to punch in the ground because it's only like the beginning of MMA. You know? So after you've done that you go over to do like the punches on the ground. And

Unknown Speaker 19:46
so it's kind of like pancreas a little bit in the US. Oh, yeah. Okay, yeah. And then from there you were in cage warriors were the bantamweight champion, as well as Invicta and then you were on the show, which I'm sure you're tired of talking. Thinking about being on the Ultimate Fighter? Oh, it's okay. I love the show. Okay, great. You know, everybody has their own experience. Some people were like, I would never do that again. And other people have, you know, lasting memories forever that they cherish. So where do you fall on that scale?

Unknown Speaker 20:16
I love the Ultimate Fighter. Yeah, I mean, the best time of my fighting time.

Unknown Speaker 20:22
Wow, really? That's awesome. What's What was your favorite part? I mean, was it the competition? Was it living with all these women, the friendships that you made? You know, being on reality TV show, like what was it exactly?

Unknown Speaker 20:36
Just to be able to because I come from a background that I never before you see. And I was never been able to train full time. I always had a full time job and never got paid good. Error. Like even when I was fighting in caterers and Victor. I mean, the great promotions, but it's nothing that you can live out of. And I was, you know, so when I was in the house training, five, six hours a day, not being to worry about anything is training. That was the best time for me. Because at home I was I was working 12 hours a day training two times a day,

Unknown Speaker 21:14
of course. So yeah, no, I mean, I understand completely and it was my whole career until I got signed to the UFC, I had a waitressing job or, you know, mainly waitressing because we needed to, you know, make our schedules work with morning training, night training, whatever it is, and you can just give a shift away, you know, so I feel you on that. You're right, I actually never thought of that point of view. For people being in the house. I just thought, you know, like, Who would want to live with all those people? Maybe I'm just like, I need my space kind of a person.

Unknown Speaker 21:45
I mean, it's, we we got space and everything. And well, I was lucky. I wasn't the best team. We were all friends still friends to this day. Yeah, but but just being able to be like, that was the first my first experience of being a full time fighter.

Unknown Speaker 22:01
Yeah. And then after that, did you have to go back to your part time job, or were you able to fully I did, fuck.

Unknown Speaker 22:09
I had to go back. Because I was doing the past seven years before the UFC, I was doing a system nursing job at night, like so with the waitress things, I need to work nights because that was the only time I could do less at work. But still get paid better places night. Because the day work is like it's very hard. It's still hard and nights. But it's kind of a different job because I had to go around to like people's houses during nights and just help them with like medical stuff. Yeah. So that's what I did for like, seven years. So I would train super early in the morning, I would sometimes do a day shift day shift, then I will go train again. And I will sleep a little bit. And then I did a night shift. Wow. That was for me, almost six, seven years, just to be able to do

Unknown Speaker 23:08
so bad for you. I mean, like not like so good. But like, I'm like this poor girl, you probably got like no deep REM sleep, you know, your brain was like, constantly, like,

Unknown Speaker 23:18
I just slept for 10 years.

Unknown Speaker 23:21
For 10 years. That's what it sounds.

Unknown Speaker 23:24
And you know, just to end with two fighters in the household. So my boyfriend also fights Okay, so we just had to, we met in shifts, because he was working beta. And he trained with me at evenings. And I was doing morning training by myself and going to work and I trained with him. And after, it was very hard for many years. So after tough I actually went back to my nursing gig, but I only the nights that I didn't do any day work. I was just like, You know what, fuck it. I'm just gonna work until because after the Ultimate Fighter I was, I was pretty much done. I felt like okay, this is because when I didn't get signed after the finals, I was thinking, You know what, this is 15 years of my life. Still not full time training. Maybe this is it. Because if I don't get signed, if I get cut, not getting resigned, but you see at this point, what the fuck I'm not going to do this five more years. It's so hard to get into UC. Yeah. So I did one fight after the Ultimate Fighter at home in Sweden. But still, I felt like this is not the level I want to fight that I want to fight at UFC level because I know I'm top 10 At least not even being in the UFC. I'm top 10 And I was at a night gig. I was doing a night job and I was off at 730 and I was had a really strange feeling the whole night because when we work it's like if I go out working, doing like my first hour shift. I'm pretty much out until midnight like 4am and Morning from 10pm Am I working to 4pm? And I was feeling shitty. I was like, fuck, something's up but I need to be fighting. I was like, I'm so done with this, you know, I got home and Australia you know eat some breakfast feeling really down, feel something was up and then my manager call me and he's like you're going to Vegas, pack your bags, you have your fighting in two weeks. And I don't know what to do. I was like, okay, so I was okay. And wait, I only had like 15 pounds to cut on your load that bad? Like two weeks? pounds. I'm like, You can do this no problem. And honestly, I say like, I fix my visa when a week to stock on fix my visa. I was already in shape, but I wasn't you know, training for a fight. I was like, fuck it. I'm just gonna go there to take my chance. At least I you know, I got a chance.

Unknown Speaker 25:56
Yeah, yeah, no, I mean, you did amazing. And you went all the way to runner up, you know, like, almost got it. I'm when I was doing my research. I'm like, wait, they let her go after that.

Unknown Speaker 26:07
I'm like, they don't I feel like the runner.

Unknown Speaker 26:09
afterwards.

Unknown Speaker 26:10
Say it again. was always that it? Because afterwards, everybody was like, Oh, you didn't get signed? I'm like, Yeah, I know. I didn't. July you know, yeah, really shock. But at the same time, I was like, fuck it. It wasn't, you know, this wasn't 145 I did Ultimate Fighter. Yeah. So I was like, fuck it. I'm just gonna see what happens. But yeah, it was pretty much retired after tough. It was solely

Unknown Speaker 26:32
okay. Okay, so what about now? Are you still working any jobs? Are you able to train full time? I know, you're injured at the moment. But before you were injured? Were you training full time? Like, what's your status now? Yes. So

Unknown Speaker 26:48
after I got signed, but you see, I didn't quit my job until a year after. Okay. And that was not because of money problems or like not making enough it was because of fear of getting caught. And not being able to. That's why I always kept that I worked less, but I will just accept that. And then when a year went by, I'm like, Okay, I've saved up now. Yeah, and I'm okay with sponsors. I think I can quit now. So,

Unknown Speaker 27:18
yeah, it's scary, though. I mean, I, I'm right there with you. Your whole life. I didn't come from money. So it wasn't like, oh, I have mommy and daddy to fall back on. Everything's always gonna be okay. For those who do. You're lucky bastards. But I'm not judging. I'm just jealous, you know. And I, it gave me this constant fear. It was like, okay, like, even if money's coming in, I still kind of have it. It's like, what if you know what if we have an ACL tear, you know, we can't fight anymore. So it's always good as I'm learning in my older years, that to have multiple sources of income coming in, you know, even though you're fighting, you know, you could probably still do whatever I asked you before. How do you feel about extra money from like, fan time? Or only fans? That kind of thing? Is that up your alley? Or no?

Unknown Speaker 28:04
Well, only fans is not really my thing. I really think it's cool when people do it, because that means they're so comfortable in their bodies out there.

Unknown Speaker 28:16
Not everyone is comfortable in their bodies. Who does it? Trust me? Because I'm like, really? I always make that joke. Zol is it? What's? I don't know what to do with my hands. Is it Ricky Bobby? Yeah, it's like every time I'm like, Mother photographers, like go and I'm like,

Unknown Speaker 28:32
I don't know what to do with my hands. But so

Unknown Speaker 28:39
what I've been doing besides you know, if you're going to say any kind of work is that I got into the commentary. By 2000 2020, I got into commentary. And now I'm doing it basically, every weekend when I'm home. I do commentary for Swedish network to for expert commentary of UC PFL cage words. So that's where I get my extra money.

Unknown Speaker 29:06
Oh, that's just like,

Unknown Speaker 29:08
that's amazing. That's so cool. Congratulations. Hello. Okay. So it's only been, you know, two years of you doing that, but those are PF same again PFL cage warriors.

Unknown Speaker 29:20
You see, like basically all the all the oh and Ks W that Polish judo. So

Unknown Speaker 29:26
you're just running Sweden's MMA commentary over there.

Unknown Speaker 29:30
You're killing extra commentary. Yes. Oh, girl.

Unknown Speaker 29:33
That is awesome. Bad as and, you know, obviously this injury sucks balls, you know, it's horrible. But you're I know that you're gonna use this time wisely. You're probably become an even more badass commentator watching fights all that? Yeah. I know. It's a long ways away. But do you have anyone in mind for who you want to fight when you come back? Or who knows? Because the shifts of the rankings will be all wacky. By then, oh, yeah,

Unknown Speaker 30:01
already thought about this, like the day I got injured. I already thought about. Well, well, first of all, I'm thinking of maybe the winner of this fight. Because May she may she may see she has some took the fight against Alana. So I would love to fight the number four, again, which I was supposed to fight. Or I was actually thinking about Miesha Tate.

Unknown Speaker 30:26
Oh, that's a great one. Yeah, if she can come back up,

Unknown Speaker 30:29
because I heard that you wanted to come back up. So.

Unknown Speaker 30:33
So are you forever at Bantamweight? Or is it where the money

Unknown Speaker 30:38
Oh, never. I will only go down to 125 If somebody pays me, or if I'm not strong enough? 135 Because I'm not like, I'm pretty big. I walk over once. Especially now,

Unknown Speaker 30:52
I wasn't even inferring. 125. I met Bantamweight. Higher featherweight. Yeah. No, I mean,

Unknown Speaker 31:02
they need to bring in more people sort of featherweight. It's not enough people.

Unknown Speaker 31:06
We got normal. Fighting Daniel wolf who's like to know or want to know or something like that. I'm like, she's a she's

Unknown Speaker 31:13
want to know. She's want to know. I'm like, I wonder who's gonna win that fight?

Unknown Speaker 31:16
I'm like, we should put money on that fight. No, actually, my boyfriend did put money on Norma Dumont, I'm like, Is it weird that I'm rooting for her now? Whatever. No, there's not a lot of fights.

Unknown Speaker 31:31
No know. But even normal demand she's tried to make 135 can make 135 And she even misses a 145. And it's like, it's kind of weird. No right route.

Unknown Speaker 31:43
It's not cool. You know, but

Unknown Speaker 31:46
if it's a super fight, you know, like, the rock, Raquel Pennington got a lead replacement. So Macy jumped in at 145. That's fine, if something like that. But I wouldn't like plan to go to 145. If I'm not if I don't have time to build up, because I'm not. I'm not big enough for 145 I would never be able to cut when I'm in camp and everything.

Unknown Speaker 32:11
Yeah, I feel like it's such it's so weird for men and for women. It maybe I'm wrong. But I feel like it's makes more of a difference that 10 pounds for the women versus the men. My crazy is that.

Unknown Speaker 32:24
Because if you see the female band weights, and then you see the female featherweight. Yeah, you're learning Whoa, can you even if I compare myself to Megan Anderson is ridiculous.

Unknown Speaker 32:34
Yeah, yeah.

Unknown Speaker 32:35
She's so huge.

Unknown Speaker 32:37
That's a huge, I wouldn't say. Yeah, she Yeah, she's a huge oak. Okay, so you. When did you move over from Iran? I want to know a little bit about your family.

Unknown Speaker 32:51
1993 Yeah. 923 and my older siblings, they were like in a teenager. teenage years. Okay, so

Unknown Speaker 33:00
you don't remember anything?

Unknown Speaker 33:02
No, nothing I've been to I've been to Iran after in 2004. Okay, that was your experience, but I will never go back. No. It's super like, honestly, of all the places I've seen in the world most beautiful places. Like it's an Iran. It's so beautiful. Like if you have a postcard and you see like blue, blue water and mountain mountain exactly like that. Really? Exactly. But it's just not a place for females, honestly. And you can't like what are you going to do there as a woman,

Unknown Speaker 33:34
especially the type of lady that we're into? We're not into the normal. I'm doing air quotes guys, you know, the normal female things. You know, we're into man stuff. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker 33:45
And Iran. I will probably just be like, I don't know. Housewife.

Unknown Speaker 33:50
Oh, no, thank you. It's

Unknown Speaker 33:52
it'd be locked up because that's how No thanks. I mean, I always represent Iran as well when I you know, just because of there's so many fighters people don't know about even girls in Iran. You know, express Yeah, there was a couple or they do like other fast martial arts. They do what they do like to cuando to do like,

Unknown Speaker 34:17
okay, all those other different

Unknown Speaker 34:20
shots. Yeah, no. And is it legal for females and jujitsu?

Unknown Speaker 34:23
No, it's not even legal. That's what I'm saying.

Unknown Speaker 34:27
That's why I'm like What do you mean they do females do it? It's like

Unknown Speaker 34:32
they do

Unknown Speaker 34:33
it by themselves. So male coaches, because you're not allowed to females and men are not allowed to train under the same roof. I think it's like something like that. I'm not even sure if Wow, but yeah, so like all the all the female coaches you see like coaching Taekwondo and everything off door females because they can't like

Unknown Speaker 34:55
they have to. There's probably a million rules like that. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker 35:00
And and then and then I'm pretty outspoken of not being religious. Not being this like, because our family are not like we we came from Iran because of politics. So we not, you know, so um, I always made sure to you know, like when people know me, I'm like, I'm not into the gym. I'm not into politics. I'm like, more of that the part of Iran that's like free around, you know, stuff like that. Yeah. And the thing is that, that they don't like that. So that's why I will never go back ever, because I'm not sure I will be able to come back. Oh, you know what I mean, come back.

Unknown Speaker 35:42
Yeah. So that's the problem. Wow.

Unknown Speaker 35:44
Okay. Yeah. Well, you know, if you're not pissing people off, you're probably, you know, not doing anything we're talking about. So you may

Unknown Speaker 35:52
have eyes everywhere. They have, like on social media, they are pretty smart. I mean, smart people, but they don't. They don't around us, like it's very black and white.

Unknown Speaker 36:04
You're You're a strong woman who stands for like different values. They're like, get her you know, so I don't blame me for not wanting to put yourself in a potentially dangerous I've done.

Unknown Speaker 36:16
But I've done a lot of Iranian like small documentaries and everything because they've done a lot of the stories about me, which is like, I'm the first ever female doing MMA. Everything amazing. Ever of Iranian people. And right now, I think I'm the only Iranian. And you see because we've been a couple guys before I'm the first female so cool. So basically, when do you do like documentaries from the States? So they do like from LA and stuff like that? They talk about like, you know what I've been doing like in martial arts for females and everything because there's no other female that's doing it from Iran.

Unknown Speaker 36:57
So how do you call

Unknown Speaker 36:59
God My heart just kind of like sank? Like I didn't realize how much of a inspiring beacon of hope you are for females in Iran? Fuck it. You are you. You're doing it. Like it's not as like, I'm so happy that I got to shine the spotlight. That's fucking badass. That's so cool. Penny that is so cool.

Unknown Speaker 37:21
And the thing is that most of my fan base, hands down is from around. Usually, yeah, like so if I watched this, in my Instagram, where my most of my followers was around 100 like hands down. Sweden is like, all the way down. It's like around because we were

Unknown Speaker 37:43
smaller. Right? So yeah, it makes a little sense. But also,

Unknown Speaker 37:47
so I get a lot of positive. Like when people write me, it's very rare. I get something bad. From my Iranian base, even from men. A lot of females, they're writing a lot of good stuff there. Like, thank you for standing up for that part. Yes. Of us. Yes. No, so that's cool.

Unknown Speaker 38:07
I just got chills. That's awesome. Okay, so to totally make this not nice and sweet. Do you still get dick pics because the guys from Iran are primarily your demographic and I feel like sex is obviously not as you know, chill the talk of you know what I really like? It's,

Unknown Speaker 38:26
I thought

Unknown Speaker 38:28
I was gonna get a lot of, you know, nasty stuff, but never from Iranians. Never, ever. I don't think I ever got anything nasty. sent to me. But I just just think they're kind of respectful.

Unknown Speaker 38:42
Yeah. Good job, guys.

Unknown Speaker 38:45
It was a long time ago. I got like, nasty dick pics and everything.

Unknown Speaker 38:50
But I'm like,

Unknown Speaker 38:51
I'm pretty shocked because I when I talked to my female buddies that do have a May they get a lot of different shit. And I'm like, I don't know. I think the Iranian thing is helping me. This blocking it out.

Unknown Speaker 39:04
Yeah. So let's talk about your relationship. You said that your partner is also a fighter. So super cool, but also has its downsides as I'm sure you know. Tell us about your relationship. How long you guys been dating? And who who talked to who first? I always liked that question.

Unknown Speaker 39:26
So me and last we met at my old gym in Copenhagen. And he was he just did MMA for like two months. He was coming there as an amateur just training with a new team. And we saw each other and that was just it was my fight week before going to Invicta and fighting tiny Avenger. Oh, nice. So it was Yeah. So we had our my last sparring with him actually because they came in and he was my size and we sparred. It was so we always talked about this because he knows We're gone with like good girls ever. So we started everything. And he thought, like, you know, the guys think they always think that they automatically better than you because the guys, of course. So he was like, he told me after he's like, I felt like I was so off standing. So I thought Fuck it, I'm just gonna take her down because I'm bigger, and I can just hold her down. So he takes me down in the role. He takes me down and onboard him like 10 seconds. Oh my god, it's

Unknown Speaker 40:32
so it's

Unknown Speaker 40:34
like, it's that kind of pissed when you can see that. He doesn't want to show that he's finished. Yeah, it's

Unknown Speaker 40:41
embarrassing. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker 40:44
And then afterwards, we had really good sparring. And then we talked about and he and I could feel that I liked them. But I was kind of like trying to play hard to get. And he was like, Oh, I love you here because I was like, all shaved and had purple hair back then. Like you're out and I'm like, thank you. And he thought I was such a bit, such a bit. And then we he, the week after he we kind of like that was it. And then I went to Invicta. We talked a bit online, nothing happened until like, next year, we met and he was back in Copenhagen just trading with us. That's, you know, 2016 he, I bought an apartment we moved in together. And we've been together ever since. So it was crazy, because we met and then we had our first date, like a year after, and then we didn't meet and then we just like, you know, we had some, you know, we, when we met the first time we wanted to be together, but it just wasn't the right time. Yeah. And then a year after, when when he moved in, he moved from Stockholm, to me, down in south of Sweden. And basically, he started his career that year, because he he was still doing amateur and a meantime, I was switching gyms don't have a coach. So he started coaching me. That's where he came into, like, going going with me to Invicta go with me everywhere, just to help me. And he didn't have any experience. He just learned. Oh, wow, seven years. He just got into it. So he he at the same time as he was fighting key. He was being a really good coach at the same time.

Unknown Speaker 42:34
So what was his background before he kind of became your corner?

Unknown Speaker 42:39
Soccer? Whoa,

Unknown Speaker 42:42
nothing. Absolutely not even.

Unknown Speaker 42:45
Nothing MMA related. He just came in and start competing in amateur MMA after a month. Well, that's amazing. I

Unknown Speaker 42:52
just do

Unknown Speaker 42:53
it. Yeah. Like that's, it's very, I mean, it's kinda like all of us, right? Because it's MMA was not like a cool popular thing when we when we started, you know, so it's like, Oh, not at all. Yeah. So it's like, we kind of just were like, oh, it's fun. Try this. And then we like liked it, obviously. Or like, you know, but that's so interesting, because you were, he has any experience. Yeah. But like, any the roles were reversed, because usually I feel like it's still an older guy with more MMA experience. And the younger girl fighter Yeah. Oh, wow. Teach me you know, but you're coming here, boy, let me take you under my wing and show you what it's

Unknown Speaker 43:28
like. I love that. So that was exactly that. It was like, Oh, we've been together for a few months. And then I'm like, Okay, I need to do this. underpads I need to do this. He's like, okay, I can learn how to hold pads. Oh, oh, and then he's and then we will the same size because we bought for Ben and Wade. Okay. And her he started to help me. Because when I was really low on money, I couldn't even go into training. Didn't have any money. So we we pick up puzzle mats in our living room. So we just start working together. I love

Unknown Speaker 44:00
I mean, I'm not even thinking about

Unknown Speaker 44:02
the poor. It's like love found a way and fighting kept you guys together and bonded you like that's what I'm like, oh, it's like a MMA love story, in my opinion. Like, yeah, it sucks to be poor. And I've definitely been there, you know, but somebody who sticks by your side when you're at your lowest and you're having achieved shit, but you just have dreams. Yeah, it's no wonder you guys are together for seven years. That's amazing.

Unknown Speaker 44:30
Yeah, and I don't think I would have been, you know, keeping I don't think I would have kept fighting after tough if it wasn't for him because he after tough he made me stay in shape because he's like, I have this feeling. Just don't give up yet. You know, we've been through a lot. You've been through so many fights together. Of course. He's been coaching me since I was eight and 195

Unknown Speaker 44:58
and now you're six saline or Yeah,

Unknown Speaker 45:01
I have 24 I have I'm 17 and 617 and six with Yeah, with the semi final and Ultimate Fighter i. So this whole career and, and he came like, basically I was like, they don't have a coach and she was like, well, let's just do this together.

Unknown Speaker 45:19
Yeah, I love that. So what has been your biggest struggle? Obviously he sounds like amazing, right. But you and I both know that along with all the time and frustrations and hangry Enos you know, fights happen, what's been something that you've struggled with in your career and relationship?

Unknown Speaker 45:39
Um, well,

Unknown Speaker 45:41
he he knew I was doing MMA and he was doing MMA somewhat. It wasn't like, Oh, my girl is doing MMA. It wasn't like that. But he wasn't really or I wasn't so sure with that, as well, but he wasn't used to the idea of having I think me being around so many guys. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And because because he just started coming into me, he was like, so many guys. So it took we had a bit, you know, troubled the first years of, you know, trying to find a way of trusting each other. Yeah, yeah. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker 46:19
It's just really good. Yeah. You know, to be honest, you don't I don't blame the men who didn't grow up, let's say in wrestling or jiu jitsu where they saw guys and then like, one or two girls, you know, so they in the back of their mind, like those guys grapplers they knew that like, oh, there's women wrestlers, but like to the rest of the world. I understand. The mentality is like, Oh, my God, that girl's in between his legs and sweaty and it's like, you just have to look at it. Yeah, I get it too. Unknown Speaker 47:48
No. And yeah, yeah, definitely. And then. And then, especially when we met. I didn't want him to know that I was poor. Poor fighter.

Unknown Speaker 48:00
Oh, of course. Yeah. That's not poor. I was was not your soul tour.

Unknown Speaker 48:07
And because I think he thought maybe, oh, well, professional fighters, they make good money. And she is working besides that. So he didn't even think about like how poor I really was. Until like, we live together for a while and then he's like, you just got your paycheck. But where's your money? You need to pay your bills, you know? Because he's, he's very, like, he's the smart of us, too. He's like financial, and he just thought he doesn't spend money doesn't meet. Just me. So he's like, Okay, you have to be honest. Show me all your mail. And you know, let's work. Work this together. Let me know how much you missing. So I was the most embarrassing moment on my life showing my personal stuff. Like how much? Yeah, and I was like, This is how much I owe. He's like, okay, it's not that bad. It's okay. Now we can get by. So I got a second job. He got two jobs. Because when he found out we were like, I was Dad struggling that much because I was so stressed all the time. Yeah. And he was like, fuck it. Because he works at this phone company as a big phone company. So he does that are nice. And then he took a newspaper gag, like 3am in the morning. Oh, yeah. And town. Yeah. And they're roughly neighborhoods where we live on so I was like, oh my god, I can't believe he did that. That's amazing. But he's tough. I could never do it. But he did it. And at the same time, I was doing my nursing thing but I was also bouncing on we female bad this nice. Yeah, I was bouncing from the age of 20 to 25 as well. And nightclubs.

Unknown Speaker 50:00
Yeah, wild wild, and I'm sure you have your own share of stories about subduing female or male. You know, customers. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker 50:11
Oh, honestly when I was bouncing for those years before I met you loss, it was it was like, in my hometown, we were only fighters doing it. I was the only girl. But it was safe. It was the safest place ever because everybody was fighting. Yeah. So when we were together, I started taking this because we have an alley where we live that's like, they call it the black Street. It's only only like, yeah, black clubs and nightclubs. And like, it's not really safe. Okay, but I got a I got a new security gig. So we're just bouncing, checking ideas and stuff. So he was working two jobs. I was doing MMA twice a day and doing the nice job and the bouncing job. And it took us roughly about six months to get back on track. Because we were like working our asses off. But we still even though we work four jobs we got we just got by barely we still add on my parents. Okay, it was that bad. But he was helping me. So he was helping me at the same time.

Unknown Speaker 51:17
About how many months probably years did it take for you to kind of financially get out of debt? That's a person. A year, a year? A year? Yeah. Honestly, what

Unknown Speaker 51:29
has helped, what has helped, so he was paying, he was helping me push money into the bank. And then yeah, and then when we got like, when we on zero instead of being a minus, yeah, we could I could. I didn't work two jobs anymore. I quit the bouncing thing. And I just did my other night.

Unknown Speaker 51:47
That's amazing. That's amazing. I love that so much. So I know you guys have been together for seven years. But before you were together, did you ever do online dating? Like how did you know? That? Oh, my gosh, you're laughing. So funny.

Unknown Speaker 52:06
I've never not on my dating, because

Unknown Speaker 52:09
I thought it was really cheesy. Because Tinder started getting really popular. Yeah, when we started dating, and I heard the phrases Tinder stories, like scary. And I was like, I will be too scared. It's still scary.

Unknown Speaker 52:23
It's even scarier now than it was then because of technology and catfish and creepers. And it's look, I'm so happy to be in a relationship. And every time I have a single guest on I'm like, scary, scary dating world out there, you know? Yeah. So how

Unknown Speaker 52:38
did you think would it be a good single?

Unknown Speaker 52:40
I don't think I will be good. Let's be single. No. So it would be single.

Unknown Speaker 52:45
So I mean, super forward as well. Seven years. That's, that's a long time people have gotten married much sooner than seven years. Have you guys ever talked about?

Unknown Speaker 52:56
Oh, yeah, we have. And yeah, exactly. But I mean, I have a Oh,

Unknown Speaker 53:01
what is? Is that engagement? Or promise ring? Well,

Unknown Speaker 53:05
I guess yes. No, no, I think I think yeah, isn't a game.

Unknown Speaker 53:09
I don't really know how it works. You know, there's like promise ring engagement ring wedding band.

Unknown Speaker 53:15
We are planning to get married. It's just that we come from these two cultures. So I'm a Persian. And he he's from Kosovo. So he's got this Albanian background. And we we come from two cultures that are kind of similar in many ways. But we need to have a big wedding. And you can't do this. Like, you can just plan it over a week. Okay, it's a it's a lot of people and it needs a lot of planning. And we just timewise we just not there. But we there like emotional and everything. But we just want to do it perfectly. Of

Unknown Speaker 53:46
course. Plus, you know, you and I both know that our window of opportunity to fight as females. I don't know if you are planning to have children if you are, that means your times a ticket even sooner. I feel like and so, as a woman, you have to think about that, right?

Unknown Speaker 54:02
We have talked about as many times because everybody asks us, my parents ask us and everything we say we said the same that no kids during career time. He wants to hear fights too. And he's like 100% invested of helping me reach my ultimate goal of being champion. So he's like, Nah, now. Now. Now. We just do it after. After we done.

Unknown Speaker 54:24
How old is he?

Unknown Speaker 54:26
He said 3220 3330

Unknown Speaker 54:30
and 32. You guys got plenty of time for sure. Yeah. Yeah, that's awesome. But you guys have had that talk and you guys that

Unknown Speaker 54:37
we already had that talk.

Unknown Speaker 54:39
And so you said you're a Persian?

Unknown Speaker 54:42
Yeah. Okay. And he's from castable. So, basically, same religious stuff like so our parents are very similar. They're very like, my mom's route to the traditional they want us to have kids and Our dads are like completely opposite. They're like, Nah, man, you guys need to fight. We just need to fight. And you know, my dad has always been like this career person. For me. He's never been like this typical Persian dad. He's been like, super like No guys, no marriage, just focus on your fighting. Wow, your career?

Unknown Speaker 55:17
Wow. Yeah, that's like the opposite of what I thought maybe a Parisian dad would be like,

Unknown Speaker 55:24
a lot of dads will be like, you know, totally different, like, but he's, he's, like, my, my siblings are like all academics gone to school for like fucking 20 years, and everything and when Persians is either like being a great, like doctor, dentist or something or being an athlete. That's it. Okay. I mean, there's already have a lot of athletes. I mean, wrestling is so big in Iran and a lot. So it's either being an academic, like career person or being an

Unknown Speaker 56:01
athlete. I'm going to show you my my limited. Farsi. So is it? Salam.

Unknown Speaker 56:09
Salam, Salam Yeah. Then tutori.

Unknown Speaker 56:12
Yeah, should do, I should probably hope and then you say, and then I say, hold on.

Unknown Speaker 56:17
Yeah, hold on, hold on. Good.

Unknown Speaker 56:19
And then I call you a day use.

Unknown Speaker 56:22
And then you say, Shama, Hobin? Like, are you fine or not?

Unknown Speaker 56:29
So I only know Salam tutori Whoa, Bom and then I think this word, do you know what this word? I mean? Am I pronouncing it right?

Unknown Speaker 56:38
I'm gonna try. Listen, they use? It means asshole. So what told me

Unknown Speaker 56:44
oh, maybe, maybe it's, it's like the dialect thing that I can

Unknown Speaker 56:50
understand maybe,

Unknown Speaker 56:52
okay, I just, I only know those like four words in Farsi. And I'm like, All right. That's my favorite word that use

Unknown Speaker 57:00
maybe it's not the right word. Pani, I was good. So you guys have been together for seven years. Someone like me, I'm in a relationship right now. Very happy. But we're about to do three years. And I'm like, I deserve an award like it. It's not that long. Yeah. So like, it was very broad question, but what do you what do you attribute to the success? It's so hard to have a long lasting relationship? I think you know, just so many people have different lives, different morals, hard to communicate, right. But how do you make it work that long?

Unknown Speaker 57:34
I mean, it's really hard. It's been so hard. Fighting. We had, you know, I've said everything from fucking hate to fucking Kelly. Everything. I said everything.

Unknown Speaker 57:48
Okay, so it's not all some sunshine and rainbows over there. Oh,

Unknown Speaker 57:53
if, if, if he would have been in his conversation, he was like, No, it's been more bad than, you know, good. But it's just because we met like when we were in a really weird place. Both of us were in a workplace. And so we had a bit of ups and downs. And we do and the sport we doing, the life we chose is pretty. It's pretty nerve wracking. And sometimes I'm happy sometimes I'm training sometimes I'm injured, you know, and it's not like it doesn't give us so much time for like romance right now. Yeah, yeah. So you just have to create that yourself. Yes. And now I've been in the states without him for over two months. Oh, she almost two months. And it's really we we've been separated like before. But we always found our ways back.

Unknown Speaker 58:46
Do you guys do the Zoom sexy time? Like the you know, what don't call Should I just should. My first my first thought was like, Ooh, sex through zoom. And you're like, oh, that's an idea.

Unknown Speaker 59:03
Two months later?

Unknown Speaker 59:06
Two months later, I was like, no, no, so yeah, it's been a lot up and down. But I think the last years we've been really try to connect with the communication and just like, be honest to each other. It's it's hard though. It's not like an easy thing. And but we have the same dream and MMA. We have the same dream. And he's, he just got a couple of profiles. I know what he wants to do. But like I know, one of his biggest things is is like mine. His biggest dreams is is me becoming champions. So that's what we were.

Unknown Speaker 59:43
But I think essentially right there you summed up why you guys have lasted so long because at the core and the route just sounds like you know, he believes in you and you believe in Him. And obviously life is fucking hard and just having this one person Soon 20, you know, not 24/7. But when you're in a relationship, it's like you're just with that person all the time. And one thing I always think about, it's like, I assume that I know what he's thinking. But then I have to remind myself like, you don't have any fucking idea. You could be over there. Like, you know, this guy's mad. He's there. And he's just like, Jujitsu, you know? Yeah.

Unknown Speaker 1:00:21
He doesn't give a shit. Yeah, we think he's mad. Like, no, I don't think about that. Yeah, it's like that meme. When this guy's you know, walking, and he's like, Oh, wonder what he's thinking. And then he's like, I'm thinking, what if cubby been focused on whatever fog?

Unknown Speaker 1:00:38
That's exactly. So because you come from the, you know, Persian or sorry, not Persian. The Iranian background. I'm like, wondering if sex when you were younger was like a restricted topic, or did you actually get like a sit down talk? And did they explain like, what happens when a girl and a boy get together and all that?

Unknown Speaker 1:01:00
Awkward, so awkward, so awkward, so I didn't like it. Like they never like really talked to me. Besides that my mom said when I was 12. I think that it's something you do when you're married.

Unknown Speaker 1:01:12
And that's it. Oh, wow. All right. That's my six.

Unknown Speaker 1:01:15
Okay,

Unknown Speaker 1:01:16
so it was like, I didn't have I didn't have like a suit. It's like a weird, super strict background or, like childhood or something. I always like as, as long as I did what I was supposed to do. I went to school. I was training really hard. I didn't really have this like teenage crazy life, because I was always training. Yeah, I never did anything bad or anything. But so did you date now? Oh, yeah. When I was like, 15, or something I did. Okay. But before that I like even from 15 to 18. I, I did date as a teenager, but I didn't have that much time for that. You were probably just grappling. So that was the time that yeah, I was training. Yeah, all the time. I was training all the time. But I mean, I do remember when I brought my first boyfriend home was so because I never had to talk. You know, I never had to talk. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker 1:02:07
What age was the thing? I

Unknown Speaker 1:02:10
think was 15 or 16. The only person I remember was like totally against like, like, relationships was my older brother. But that's normal.

Unknown Speaker 1:02:21
Yeah, protective of isn't it? Yeah, of course. Oh, he

Unknown Speaker 1:02:24
was. No, no, he was super protected back then.

Unknown Speaker 1:02:29
Did he like beat your boyfriend's

Unknown Speaker 1:02:30
up or something? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, no. If if if they were there, he would never in the same room. Got it. We're never in the same room.

Unknown Speaker 1:02:41
So, you know, there's a myth that's fighters shouldn't have sex before they fight. You know, I've asked all my guests and you know, most people say that this is a myth to them. But some people do say, oh, I need to stop having sex two weeks or a month. What is your personal preference? If any?

Unknown Speaker 1:03:02
Never had a preference. Like yeah, we never ever thought about that at all. But the lead years like, like my my time in the UFC has been like super. So every camp if we don't have sex, and camp is mostly because I'm so sore. I'm in so much pain. I'm so tired. And then we figured out like, because he goes with me to fight. We don't share a bed for a week. Oh, no. Yeah. At all. Yeah. But it's it's mostly because you when we go on fight week when our boyfriend girlfriend, okay, he's helping me. Okay. You know, he's helping my head coach. And he he went up there as like a couple were there as a team. Yeah. So we don't share about on fight week. And the last camp, I had so much back problems. So we didn't even share a bed. It was like this whole camp because I had so much problems. I couldn't lay oh, like get in a soft bed. Yeah, so sleeping on a blog mattress in my kitchen. It was so funny. But we never had preferences. Sometimes, you know, we could have sex like even by week, but I think this these last camps, because the fights are so hard. And the camps are so hard. And I've been struggling with some injuries. Just that never happened. Of course, then after the fights, we have, like so much time to be together. Because in camp we basically just training and he's helping me in camp. So he's he's the punching bag. So of course, yeah.

Unknown Speaker 1:04:33
And you know, you're, you're speaking and I'm just listening because I want to like, you know, be a good host. But like I'm like, yeah, yeah, me too. Me too. Yeah, me too. Me too. Like my situation is exactly the same. You know, my partner is also my black belt and my jujitsu coach. Yeah, you know, so fight week comes around, and I am already I snore. I feel bad for him. And so sometimes, you know, we don't sleep together, whatever and then fight week. I'm just so I'm like when I cut weight usually cut a lot of weight, too much weight. And I'm just like, so hot and I'm just I don't share a bed with them sometimes can be. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker 1:05:10
Yeah. So, yeah, I

Unknown Speaker 1:05:12
talked to my buddy, I talked to my friend the other day and she was like, she was like, No, I will find a way. I never go without saying like, during, during, during camps, I'm like, good for you. I just don't have the energy.

Unknown Speaker 1:05:28
You're like, you're like, people are different. You're like, clearly you did not train hard enough.

Unknown Speaker 1:05:33
Yeah. And and then I think it's all from camp to camp and everything, but it's never like, no, I cannot have six because if fucks up my you know, yeah, it's

Unknown Speaker 1:05:44
just kind of like on a case by case basis how you feel mentally a minimal and mainly physically, it's like, if you just did hours and hours of training, I'm not doing backwards cowgirl and working my quads. You know, I don't want to do that. So I get it. I get that. So where's Do you have like a story that you can share with us like your favorite quickie story? Or like a wildest sexual experience? Maybe when you were younger? Or maybe you and your guy were like, spontaneous or like, let's have sex here. Anything like that?

Unknown Speaker 1:06:16
Um, what have we done? Oh, God, I want to be boring. I just have to remember to remember it.

Unknown Speaker 1:06:29
Nothing is boring sex anywhere. Even missionary not boring.

Unknown Speaker 1:06:36
Well, I have to say like, and this is not just because we together but I have a hard time seeing myself being with somebody else than him. You know what I mean? But it's not like a It's not like, I feel like, oh, it's safe. I don't want to. I'm too comfortable. It's not that just I don't see myself being with somebody else in him because we match so good. Yeah. And I just think that first time ever, like, never happened before. I've never, I've never feel like uncomfortable with him. Because usually, you had old boyfriends who like Oh, I feel uncomfortable. Never, never would have. That's why That's how I know it's real. But I have to come back to you with the story because I have to think about it. No, no, no, that's okay. Because for so many years,

Unknown Speaker 1:07:28
no, I noticed that with myself to like, you know, it's we're only been we've only been together for three years, but I feel the most comfortable around him naked that I've ever felt with anyone in my entire life. And I am uh, I have my deep insecurities from childhood. You don't I mean, like about the way I look? And I'm like, always trying to be like, you're beautiful, you know, but yeah, I It's like, for me to feel that comfortable in front of him says so much. Because I know how deep my own personal insecurities are. So yeah, that's and I can also be my genuine very weird goofy. Like, I could say whatever I want. And for no fear that he's gonna judge me. Like, that's how I know. It's very Yeah, as well.

Unknown Speaker 1:08:12
Yeah. Yeah, that's, that's, that's where we are right now. And I feel and I've never been comfortable around like any other person. So,

Unknown Speaker 1:08:21
so seven years, it's pretty rare. Did you? Have you slowly started doing different things in the bedroom to kind of spice things up? Or do you just kind of, you know, you said, like, I'm asking you about a wild experience. And I'm like, you know, maybe you kind of like your norm or did you over the years? Did you add anything in different?

Unknown Speaker 1:08:40
No, we it's more like it. Because I'm nowadays, like, after a couple years, you want to? Well, I feel like a way that I want to take my time when we do something. Um, I don't want it to be like, Oh, I just have to do this quickly. Because I have to run, you know, we we take our times more and we kind of like talk. We talk more during, like the last year like okay, well, would you like you want to try something new? Like that? Yeah, we talk more, because a few years ago, you didn't do that? Yep. Yeah. Now you just, I want more time with him while we, you know, having sex and everything because I don't want it to be like, just like quick and, and just this, you don't think about it. You know what I mean?

Unknown Speaker 1:09:26
That's, that makes so much more. Yeah. Because, you know, like, I think we take for granted the time that we spend with the person and like you said earlier, this lifestyle that we've chosen doesn't allow for a lot of romance. So you have to really notice the feeling and the vibe and you can't just a quickie in between training sessions is not romantic. You know? It's just you really have to plan ahead and exactly, that's what you're talking about, right?

Unknown Speaker 1:09:51
Yeah, yeah. So it's like it's not going to be like midday. It's like okay, well, we hope we have some time. And then, like now we've been away from each other for so Long it's, I can't even like imagine how fun it will be to meet him again. And then when I'm home, we're going to take we take like small trips together, and just like go away for the weekend. Just you, me and him and the dog. You know, I love that. And then yeah, and then we have more time together instead of just because usually it's always training, training training. So maybe even the injury is good. And that way, so I can, you know, have more time with him. Because the past years ever since I got into UFC, as per hectare, we've been fighting almost three, four times a year nonstop.

Unknown Speaker 1:10:34
It's nonstop. Because either training or yeah, sorry, go ahead.

Unknown Speaker 1:10:39
Yeah, no, that's great. It's so this time me being injured this year. It's actually maybe it's even good for us. So we can split honestly.

Unknown Speaker 1:10:47
That's what I'm saying. It's like the things that you do while you're injured. You know, you can do one of two things, you could take advantage of that time, or you can waste it. And I've been guilty in my past. I wasted a lot of time that I could have been getting better just because I was you know, not fighting at the time whether it was suspended or injured. I could have been utilizing that time. So now you can utilize it for fighting and your relationship.

Unknown Speaker 1:11:12
Yeah, exactly. And the thing is that now we have a new project ahead of us is that I'm I'm starting my own gym at home. Oh, shoo me major right as we speak. Yeah, right now.

Unknown Speaker 1:11:24
Congratulations. Awesome. Thank

Unknown Speaker 1:11:26
you so so much. And he's helping me with that. And so that's, I know, it's a lot. No, but this is doing together. It's so

Unknown Speaker 1:11:35
weird to say this because injuries suck, like I said, but this is perfect. Now you have time, you know, to heal. But also put more focus on your new project of your gym without stressing about weight cut or training or injuries. Well, yeah, rehab, you know, but that's great. Yeah, exactly. Congratulations. That's awesome. Thank you so much. What's a big pet peeve of yours in the bedroom? It could be anything from bad breath to something more extreme.

Unknown Speaker 1:12:04
You know, when when I thought about it, I was like,

Unknown Speaker 1:12:08
bad breath is pretty bad. I absolutely hate bad breaths.

Unknown Speaker 1:12:13
That's like the worst thing I know.

Unknown Speaker 1:12:17
That would be like

Unknown Speaker 1:12:22
if the guy is like, super insecure, because I'm already already insecure as it is like what body things? And if he's insecure if he loss will be as occurred, then I will be like, super awkward. I was like, fuck, what am I doing wrong? Whoa, how am I looking? You know, stuff like that? Yeah. So him being super confident and like, know what he wants? It's definitely a turn on for me. Yeah,

Unknown Speaker 1:12:48
yeah. Yeah, you gotta know, at least even if you're a younger guy or an inexperienced guy. Here's a tip fake it till you make it because we don't want to see you

Unknown Speaker 1:12:57
like because then it induces our own. You know?

Unknown Speaker 1:13:02
Yeah. And he's like, super confident and everything and and then he he's always the what I like about him he's always so complimenting like, because I always had a bad a bad vibe with my offseason body you know how it is? I mean, the offseason you feel like like should I feel like I'm wall Ross or like CEO or something? And he's this person that's like you know what? I love you offseason why can you love you? offseason? I think you're beautiful either way. Yeah. Stuff like that. Yeah,

Unknown Speaker 1:13:36
I love that my partner tells me the same actually. He does the opposite. He is all for this like new sick girl body. You know, like the thicker and I'm like, okay, don't get me wrong. I'm very happy that that's the body type you like, but I need an athlete body. So I'm like going for runs. He's literally like, no, don't get skinny.

Unknown Speaker 1:13:58
Like I need to be. Yeah, he's like,

Unknown Speaker 1:14:02
the other day he brought home vegan ice cream. And like he was just looked at me with like puppy dog eyes, because he knows I like can't say no. And I'm like, do you have you? And I looked at him. I'm like, I'm like, why? He's like, because you're getting too skinny. And I'm like, oh, no,

Unknown Speaker 1:14:17
I knew you did it on purpose. I'm like, That's evil. Okay, Penny, we're going to transition

Unknown Speaker 1:14:24
into the lightning six round for those of you listening who don't know, it is a rapid fire yes or no segment where basically I created it because sometimes people don't like saying six words and they feel uncomfortable. So it's yes or no penny if you have like a story that you're like, oh shit, I got a role playing story and you want to stop? Yeah, go ahead. But otherwise, just yes or no?

Unknown Speaker 1:14:53
Okay. Okay, cool. Okay,

Unknown Speaker 1:14:56
it was just whatever to come pops into my head. Yes, no. Yep, yep, yep, directly. Okay,

Unknown Speaker 1:15:00
here we go Lightning sex round with Penny. Do you dirty talk in bed?

Unknown Speaker 1:15:05
Yes. Bank are like to be spanked.

Unknown Speaker 1:15:11
spanked biting. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker 1:15:15
Choking,

Unknown Speaker 1:15:17
no threesomes now? Do you watch porn?

Unknown Speaker 1:15:23
No. Any foot fetish?

Unknown Speaker 1:15:27
No. I know trust me. bodily fluid

Unknown Speaker 1:15:30
fetish. No.

Unknown Speaker 1:15:33
Role playing?

Unknown Speaker 1:15:37
I don't know. I don't know. Yeah, I haven't tried it yet.

Unknown Speaker 1:15:40
I am starting to feel like that's something that people do in their older years because everyone in their like 20s and 30s testing things out. Yeah, like everybody that I talked to. They're like, not yet, but I'm not opposed to it. I'm like, I feel like as I get older, and I start interviewing, like 40 and 50 year old people like Oh, geez of the sport, and I'm getting older. They're gonna be like, oh, yeah,

Unknown Speaker 1:15:59
we did like, you know, dungeon. Yes, sir. I don't know. Star Wars that do Yeah. Okay, do you,

Unknown Speaker 1:16:08
but stuff on you or a partner? Nah, bondage like ropes, blindfold handcuffs, any of that kind

Unknown Speaker 1:16:15
of stuff? No, not there yet. I think that is older stuff, too.

Unknown Speaker 1:16:20
Okay. Have you ever been to a sex club?

Unknown Speaker 1:16:26
Yeah, I've been into like, with my friends into like, Yeah, okay. I've been one of my girlfriends until

Unknown Speaker 1:16:32
they are a swingers party.

Unknown Speaker 1:16:37
No, I never been to swingers party but Oh, Jim. It was right next to a swingers club. Oh, wow. So we always talked about it. We should go there but never happened. Okay,

Unknown Speaker 1:16:48
that's so funny. MMA gym swingers? Yeah. Do you use sex toys?

Unknown Speaker 1:16:55
No. Everything. We don't need it. That's a good point.

Unknown Speaker 1:16:58
That is a good part. But you're missing out girl a toy here and there can really make things better actually. Have you owe your opinion on body hair? Yay or Nay?

Unknown Speaker 1:17:13
Yeah, that's alright.

Unknown Speaker 1:17:17
Have you ever been caught having sex? Or masturbating?

Unknown Speaker 1:17:24
Yeah, like my my buddy. Kind of like almost walked out and be like,

Unknown Speaker 1:17:31
Oh, that's close. That's good. Okay, we

Unknown Speaker 1:17:33
had a party. It was my 25th party and a guy friend of ours. was gonna say bye. And he just accidentally

Unknown Speaker 1:17:41
Oh, that's, that's like a close call. But that's good. Better than actually getting cut. Okay, Patti. That was the lightning sex round. Congratulations. Oh, good. Awesome. Definitely our most feared segment on this show. So the next two segments are fun. They're fan questions, which they're all your fans. And then Fuck, Marry, Kill. It's a game where I give you three names and you tell me who you would fuck. Who you would marry and who you would kill out of those names. You want to play marry one kill one. Go. I think we're done. We're done. We're

Unknown Speaker 1:18:20
done. Okay, okay. Yeah, sure.

Unknown Speaker 1:18:23
So, actually, we didn't even talk about this. I thought we would talk about it and then we wouldn't you know, kind of give you this edition. But the reason we gave you this fuck marry kill edition in honor of your bloodiest fight. There's like a very notorious, very cool picture. Your two front teeth are out. I? I assume that they are. It's like sticking

Unknown Speaker 1:18:45
with your teeth. Right? So

Unknown Speaker 1:18:47
okay. I'm okay talking about I'm sure.

Unknown Speaker 1:18:51
Oh, man.

Unknown Speaker 1:18:54
Oh, it's a bridge.

Unknown Speaker 1:18:55
Also, it's

Unknown Speaker 1:18:56
like a retainer. Yeah. Yeah, it's a retainer. No,

Unknown Speaker 1:19:00
no, did that happen? So cool. So much. So many questions real quick. Did that happen in a fight?

Unknown Speaker 1:19:08
No, it happened I was fixing my headgear and the Ultimate Fighter and you know this plastic headgear your ears because my call coalfire was terrible. And I was fixing it with my teeth. And the my left one popped right out because it was weak of all the grappling and punching and stuff like that. So that was out so they gave me a retainer like this, but just the one the one tooth you know, I was had one tooth for a while. And then the two years into you see my teeth got so damaged other ones. So my dentist, he's like, it's just best to take. Take the root out and the attitude out. I'm gonna drill a new tip for you. Yeah, let's do that. All right.

Unknown Speaker 1:19:51
So did you have the option of getting a root canal and getting them permanent instead of having to pop it in and out or did you opt for the past? I'm in and out of convenience.

Unknown Speaker 1:20:02
So I'm kind of waiting a bit. So when my injury happened, I was like, You know what, now I'm going to drill up my titanium. But I don't need to use the actual teeth. I can still use this. It's just, if I get the drilling done, then it could heal during my time when I'm injured. Yes, it takes like, two three months to heal. Yeah,

Unknown Speaker 1:20:22
this. My right front tooth is fake. Yeah. Oh, really? Yeah, I was in high school. And I was drinking a bottle, a glass bottle and a dog jumped on my lap and cracked my tooth. And just like cracked down the middle. Yeah, so snaggletooth got that fixed.

Unknown Speaker 1:20:38
Super, super confident. And like, I don't, I thought when it happened, I was like, shit. Because when I talked to like, all the girls that have talked about it, like, oh, I will be so embarrassed, I will feel so insecure. I'm like, This is fucked up. I don't feel that with my teeth at all. Really? Like, I would add, I don't want to walk out without my retainer. But if I'm like walking into a fight or something, I don't use my retainer. I just go without it. Yeah, so as my mouthpiece just goes in. So

Unknown Speaker 1:21:10
why do you know you mentioned having your own body image issues? We all have something, whether it's our hair, our body, you know, or the way we talk? Right? Why do you feel like you have some issues with you know, whatever it whatever else it is, versus not having issues with your teeth? Like, why is that not something that would make you feel insecure? I'm just jealous, because I know I'm always looking at my teeth. Like, can people know that they're fake?

Unknown Speaker 1:21:35
Because I just feel like I'm still fighting. And I've seen so many fighters without teeth. And I was like, you know, what, if, if I can get through like the body things I had when I was a kid? Yeah, this is nothing. Yeah. Because, you know, when I grew up boxing and everything, it was like, this was in 2005. And the coaches were nasty to overdose, comparing our bodies with just teenagers. Yeah. And that should keep I got that with me like, and I was carrying that so many years into my MMA fighting. So when the teeth happen, I was like, fuck it. I've been through worse. This is nothing.

Unknown Speaker 1:22:12
Yeah. Wow. So those coaches, do you think that they kind of caused some body dysmorphia issues with

Unknown Speaker 1:22:18
100% best 100% Like I've had, like, I think every MMA fighter has this. I think every MMA fighter has eating disorders 100 Fuckin percent. Everybody has that. And 100% I think I have I have that too. I just need to keep keep it in check. Oh, yeah. Because I'm going to be honest, I hate being injured having an injured body. I hate being offseason. Just because I know myself. And I'm still learning. Yeah, it's hard.

Unknown Speaker 1:22:46
Yeah. Trust me. Well, if you get the one teeth happened.

Unknown Speaker 1:22:50
I was like, fuck it. You know, I have worse things that I think about.

Unknown Speaker 1:22:54
I love that. Yeah. And it's temporary. And I would like you said, you just have to remind yourself like, you've been through worse. This is not that bad. And when you pop it back in them.

Unknown Speaker 1:23:02
Yeah. And then I always thought that my girlfriend always said when we were younger. She's like, you have this thing about you that you can wear trash, trashy stuff. But it's kind of suits you. It kind of suits you. So when my teeth hurt, but I was like, fuck it. You know what, if anybody can carry it? It's probably me. Because if if you would have met like any cute blonde girl out there. I don't think I don't think it's the same. I don't know,

Unknown Speaker 1:23:29
though. No, no, I'm actually I want to compare you to Andre touchy feely who's also in the UFC. You know? Yeah. Got his missing two.

Unknown Speaker 1:23:38
He's got this. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So

Unknown Speaker 1:23:40
you gotta like him.

Unknown Speaker 1:23:42
Yeah, I'm just, I'm just trying to carry out because I'm thinking you know what, fuck it. I'm gonna look back at us. I think it's funny. And then after my MMA career, I'm gonna have a brand new smile. I'm going to fix my teeth.

Unknown Speaker 1:23:55
I think that picture is epic. You should make T shirts with that picture on it.

Unknown Speaker 1:23:59
So that's my DS picture. That's my so when Diaz won won against Conor McGregor the first time the picture when he came out in front of the count, so yeah, that's my idea.

Unknown Speaker 1:24:16
Yeah, okay. Diaz picture I get it. Yeah, that's awesome. That's such a great image. Okay, I'm sorry, in honor of that, you know, just there's that that bloody picture. I thought that you lost the teeth, but I guess not. But in honor of your bloody fights, your category is bloodiest badass fighters, and you get to choose from Nick Diaz, Robbie Lawler and Diego Sanchez. These are all guys who are notorious for being bad asses with bloody fights.

Unknown Speaker 1:24:48
Robbie are okay, so you would

Unknown Speaker 1:24:51
fuck Robbie Lawler. Kill or marry Nick Diaz.

Unknown Speaker 1:25:00
Kill Mary. I know what Don't be married to kill.

Unknown Speaker 1:25:04
Okay, and that means you have to marry Diego Sanchez.

Unknown Speaker 1:25:09
Oh, well, he's crazy enough and I'm crazy so it's okay. It'll be

Unknown Speaker 1:25:12
